Radical Nourishment x Food Culture Collective

Radical Nourishment is a podcast featuring stories of food communities across the U.S. that are growing power as they reclaim sovereignty in ways big and small. Co-created by Food Culture Collective and HEAL Food Alliance, two organizations involved with food sovereignty and land justice work in the U.S. Listen to some of my favorite episodes from the season here!

I’ve always heard that you grow through grief, so I sat with the soil and mirrored the earth's cycles. I sat with the trees, the falling leaves, and the wind to help me remember. That endings are endings, but they can also seed new beginnings. This is an intimate audio documentary that features a conversation with my younger sister about our relationship with grief, loss, and nature. Interspersed between our words are archival sounds from Wendy Williams, Gil Bailey, music from Beres Hammond and Dorothy Ashby, and poems from Lucille Clifton.
