The Rock Steady Farm community was invited to participate in an informal workshop on natural dyeing and botanical printing. This hands-on experience introduced participants to explore and experiment with plants and flowers sourced directly from Rock Steady Farm.

Community members selected from freshly harvested and dried materials, learning how flowers, leaves, and roots could be transformed into rich, vibrant dyes. Marigold blossoms were used to create warm golden tones, while dye baths featuring mugwort, beets, and pokeberry produced a range of earthy greens, soft pinks, and deep magentas.

The open lab format encouraged curiosity, collaboration, and creative exchange as participants compared results and shared observations. By engaging directly with the plants and dye baths, participants deepened their understanding of the relationship between land, color, and tradition while creating their own naturally dyed and botanically printed textiles.
